Welcome to Our Studio Rental Unit

Our studio rental unit is located in South Carthay, which is an historic neighborhood 1/2 mile southeast of Beverly Hills, California. Our house was built by a famous bathing suit designer in 1937 (Cole of California), and this studio unit was designed as the chauffeur's quarters. My mom had one of his bathing suits growing up, and I believe they are still in business.

The unit has been completely renovated, and is available furnished. From our location it is possible to walk to the free Beverly Hills tennis courts, La Cienega Park and running track, Academy motion picture library, and mini market. There are several movie theatres and malls close by; the Beverly Connection and Beverly Center are just up La Cienega, and The Grove is five minutes away on Fairfax and Third. Most local consulates are a short bus ride away.

The unit has a main room complete with kitchenette, and has a separate bathroom with shower.

There is good public bus access two small blocks away on both La Cienega and Olympic Boulevards, the two closest major cross streets. The Pico bus lines are also within walking distance. There is plenty of street parking in front of the unit. See the separate page below for more information on riding the bus to UCLA or Santa Monica College.

The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The studio has been incorporated into the security system of the main house. Our local neighborhood patrol service is available 24 hours a day to help you or escort you to the unit if you feel it is unsafe. The unit has a separate locked and gated entrance on Orlando Avenue.

The apartment is small, but we believe that the small size is more than made up for in terms of location and comfort. The unit has air conditioning.

The unit has a 40 inch flat screen television with basic Spectrum cable and a Roku. Hi-speed internet service via wifi is also included.

No smoking and no pets please.
