Routes to UCLA
The cheapest way to UCLA is via the Big Blue Bus, which I believe
is free to UCLA students, but it is also the longest way. Click here for a
routing: http://www.mta.net/. Click on
METRO TRANSIT and then select TRIP PLANNER. The starting point is
The MTA schedule takes about half an hour, depending on the time of day.
They suggest taking Bus 105 north on La Cienega to Wilshire and La Cienega, and
then the Metro Bus 21 directly to UCLA. You may find that it's preferable to
walk to Wilshire and La Cienega instead of taking the first bus. The walk takes
about 10 minutes. Here is the timetable

If you have a car but can't get a UCLA parking permit, consider
this. Drive and park in on Lomitas Drive in the residential section across from
the Will Rogers park in front of the Beverly Hills Hotel, and then take the
5-10 minute bus ride west on Sunset either on the 305, 302, 2, or 576.
